Teenage boy shot and killed in Dos Palos

DOS PALOS, Calif. (KFSN) -- A homicide investigation is underway in Dos Palos after a teenage boy was shot and killed on Sunday night.

Authorities say David Leon, 17, was found at Palo Alto Street and Palm Avenue around 8:30 p.m. Dos Palos Police Chief Barry Mann says the teenager died after suffering a single gunshot wound to the upper body.

It's not yet clear if the teen was a student at nearby Dos Palos High School.

Officers have received conflicting reports about how the shooting happened, and no arrests have been made.
