Pedestrian killed in Highway 180 crash

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash involving a pedestrian on Freeway 180 near Armstrong in Fresno County.

Investigators say a woman wearing dark clothing was hit and killed by a car coming around a curve. They say the driver tried to avoid the woman but was unable to swerve out of the way.

The driver did stop and is cooperating with investigators.

The name of the woman killed has not been released.
