Police investigating shooting in Southwest Fresno
According to Fresno Police, two people were shot in Southwest Fresno at Elm and Church Avenues.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- According to Fresno Police, two people were shot in Southwest Fresno at Elm and Church Avenues.

Police received a shot spotter call about 10:00 p.m. at Elm and Church. When police arrived they found two victims nearby on Holly laying in the street, both shot. Police said it appears the victims ran down the street.

Authorities said the injuries are non-life threatening. They were transported to the hospital.

Police believe there were four males on the corner of Elm and Church when the passenger of a white car going northbound on Elm Avenue fired shots at the men. Two of them escaped without injury.

The car was located later on by police.

The other two males were contacted by police and questioned.

Police cars are blocking off the intersection during the investigation.
