Pickup truck crashes into apartment in Clovis
A Clovis family picked up what was left of their apartment after a pickup truck drove straight through it.

CLOVIS, Calif. (KFSN) -- A car ran a stop sign and hit a pickup truck that then ran into an apartment building in Clovis, police said

Clovis Police said around 9 a.m. Friday, a woman driving a silver Infinity ran a stoplight on Peach Avenue and hit a pickup truck -- sending it into an apartment on Gettysburg Avenue.

Police said no one was in the apartment at the time of the crash, and the pickup driver was not hurt. The woman and her baby, who was strapped into a car seat in the back seat of the car, were also not hurt -- except for some bumps and bruises from the airbag. They were taken to the hospital as a precaution.

Firefighters said the apartment was structurally sound. Local charities stepped in to help the people who live inside the home.
