Fresno County man handed over 1,500 year prison sentence for rape

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A Fresno County judge sentenced a man to 1,503 years in prison Friday after being found guilty of sexually assaulting an underage victim nearly 200 times over a five-year period.

On Sept. 22, a jury found Rene Lopez guilty of 186 counts of sexual assault, including 163 counts of forcible rape. The crimes took place between 2009 and 2013.
