Thousands of students head back to school in Sanger Unified

SANGER, Calif. (KFSN) -- About 12,000 more students went back to school Thursday in the Sanger Unified School District.

Excitement filled the air at John Wash Elementary in Fresno as students headed to their classrooms.

John Wash Elementary is one of 22 schools in the district.

More than 2,000 employees will be working at the 22 schools in the district this year.
