Visalia man arrested after allegedly crashing into light pole while high

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A Visalia man is in jail Sunday, accused of driving while high on marijuana and destroying a pole.

Enrique Ruiz, 28, was arrested after he jumped a curb on Caldwell Ave near Stonebrook Street and hit a light pole.

That pole came crashing down and broke off from its foundation.

At this point, it is being investigated as a DUI crash and police say Ruiz was possibly high on marijuana.
