The clubhouse was being renovated and crews had a tough time, putting out the flames. A chain link fence around the building became electrified when power lines went down. The fire had to be fought with a ladder truck and hoses from a distance until the power could be shut off.
It took 25 firefighters about 45 minutes to bring the fire under control.
The fire burned so hot that as of mid-morning Tuesday, fire officials still couldn't begin their investigation because it was still too hot to process the scene.
The clubhouse building used to be the old Hanford High School building, it was in the process of being renovated.
