Attention, movie lovers! The road to the Oscars is paved with excitement, so here are some tips for hosting your own red-carpet party with a decadent dessert buffet.
Chocolate-covered strawberries. Simply microwave a package of chocolate chips until they're melted, stirring constantly so the chocolate doesn't boil or burn. Dip cleaned and dried fresh berries into the melted chocolate and let them firm up on waxed paper before serving. That's it: easy elegance!
Serve chunks of pound cake, fruit and marshmallows as dippers for an equally decadent chocolate fondue or with a chocolate fountain; there are many available at a range of prices now.
Make a trifle. It's basically many layers of ingredients from pudding or mousse to whipped cream, cake, fruit and chopped candy bars, maybe with a drizzle of flavored syrups or liqueur. There are no rules - except to serve it up in a clear bowl so you can see all the different layers!
