Madera Police are stumped as to why nobody reported the child missing the day he was found. And some local residents are angry the child was left to fend for himself.
Concerned Resident Dawn Aguilar said, "What are they thinking? What are they thinking? This is Madera, this is a park. He's eating out of a trash can. What, they're not thinking of him?"
Madera Police would only confirm a woman claiming to be his mother came to the police station.
It's unknown if the boy was released to her. If you have any other information about this child you're urged to contact the Madera Police Department.
