The former astronaut accused of being involved in a cross-state, love-triangle has pleaded guilty to charges of attacking her romantic rival. Nowak has been sentenced to one-year probation after pleading guilty to attacking romantic rival Colleen Shipman.

Lisa Nowak, a Navy captain, pleaded guilty to felony burglary of a car and misdemeanor battery to avoid a trial scheduled next month. She had originally been charged with two felonies, attempted kidnapping and burglary, and misdemeanor battery.

Lisa Nowak, who was once based at Lemoore Naval Air Station as a captain, was accused of stalking Air Force Captain Colleen Shipman and using pepper spray on her at a Florida airport on February, 2007.

Prosecutors say Nowak drove nearly 900 miles from Houston to Orlando, wearing NASA diapers to cut down on the number of stops she needed to make, in an attempt to kidnap shipman.

They claim, Nowak was upset shipman was dating her former boyfriend, who's also an astronaut.
