It happened in the area of San Gabriel and Willow around 7:30 a.m.
Investigators have arrested Joseph Yanez for two counts of assault with a deadly weapon.
When investigators arrived to the Clovis home Saturday morning, they were able to get his child and the child's mother out of the house safely.
Officers responded to the 18-year-old's home because he was wanted in connection with a confrontation with two men two weeks ago.
"He pointed the gun at one of them an pistol whipped the other...we were not called that day," Janet Stoll-Lee said.
Two hours after investigators arrived to the home-- Yanez surrendered with his hands up. No one was injured in the incident.
