Suspected OC grandmother killer arrested in Mexico

LOS ANGELES (AP) The U.S. Marshals Service said in a statement Wednesday that 26-year-old Joseph Elias George Ettima was taken into custody in Mexico City and arrived in Los Angeles late Tuesday night. The agency says he has an extensive criminal history and was one of its 15 most-wanted fugitives.

Authorities allege Ettima stabbed his 69-year-old grandmother Emma Hardwick-Street on Jan. 19 in Los Alamitos in front of his 8-year-old brother and 3-year-old niece then set the apartment on fire. The children were not hurt.

U.S. Marshals matched a description of Ettima with a man already in custody in Mexico.
