Two Month Road Closure in Northeast Fresno

Fresno, CA The city announced that Shepherd Avenue between Cedar and Maple will be closed for the next two months while new medians are installed. The good news for drivers in the area ... the long closure down the road at Shepherd and Willow has ended, clearing up a long-term traffic mess.

That intersection has been closed since June, forcing drivers on a long detour. There's still some work to do along the shoulders, but the intersection now has a couple new lanes, turn lanes, and traffic signals.

The construction project was timed to be completed before school started at the nearby Willow- International Center on Monday and at Clovis North the week after.
