Wiley was named after Alyssa Wiley, a classmate who he says helped get him into showing animals. The teenage girl died last December in an accident.
"She helped me get involved with it, helped me get involved with the teacher. She was my role model," said Connor Olson.
Wiley the one-and-a-half year old steer, is being auctioned off on Saturday.
