Fresno's parks department suspended fishing there Friday- after they got reports that someone illegally used a substance to stun or kill fish - and then gathered them up.
Officials say it's unlikely the substance is harmful to humans - but people shouldn't fish there until the water is tested.
Signs are posted at the park's entrance and also near the ponds -- but several people were still seen with their fishing poles in hand Saturday.
