In addition to genetic differences, scientists have also observed behavioral differences in the Yosemite Great grays.
They include differences in migration patterns, prey preference, and nest site selection, strongly implying they've been isolated from other 'great grays' for an extremely long time.
The Great Gray is already on the state endangered species list and it is also found in Asia and Europe.
