Car involved in the kidnapping of Juliani Cardenas found

FRESNO, Calif. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
UPDATE: Divers are still about a half hour from getting in the canal. The water level is still quite high and it's flowing at about 3-4 feet per second, which is way too fast.

Stanislaus County sheriffs are relying on help from a private, local towing company and its dive team to pull the car out of the water.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The car was located in the Delta Mendota Canal and they are now working to pull the vehicle out of the water.

Investigators have not said if any bodies are inside the vehicle.

Juliani Cardenas, 4, was kidnapped from his Patterson home on January 18.

Police believe 27-year-old Jose Rodriguez took the boy.

North valley detectives confirmed the vehicle connected to the kidnapping was located in the Delta Mendota Canal near Patterson.

We'll have more on this late breaking development as soon as it's available.
