Action News has learned the man driving the golf cart was Terry Richards.
He is in critical condition after police say he drove the cart on Butler Ave. Monday morning, ran a stop sign, and was hit by a pickup truck.
No one in the pickup was hurt.
Terry Richards is the brother of Tom Richards, the developer of Terry's House
The home across the street from Community Regional Medical Center in Downtown Fresno is designed to be a home-away-from-home for families with loved ones getting care at the hospital.
The developer was inspired to name the house after his brother who was seriously injured in a car accident when he was a child.
