The total grape crop is forecast to be down one percent because of a six percent drop in wine grape production. But the table grape crop is predicted to increase nine percent and raisin production is expected to go up six percent.

The Wine Institute has been holding virtual tasting events to boost media attention in China and increase demand for imported wine.

The "Discover California Wines" campaign began last month. The campaign uses video conferencing tools, so that the winemakers can describe the wines as people in China taste them.
