An apartment manager at 12th Street near E Street called authorities saying three men were about to rob him and that one had a handgun in his waistband.
Two officers were just around the corner and rushed to the complex. Investigators say Brandon Crane ran from the officers and then took off in a car, leading them on a short chase before dumping the Buick in someone's yard.
Police later found Crane hiding in a trash can.
They found Randy Tyler in the back seat of the car and tracked down his brother, Devonte Tyler, near the original crime scene.
All three men are now booked in jail on multiple charges.
