As Action News reported Thursday, Spencer Scarber asked to remove his lawyer from the case, claiming the attorney was ineffective during the trial.
Scarber said Antonio Alvarez didn't call all the witnesses or ask all the questions he wanted.
But the judge denied his request to replace his attorney, saying he did excellent work at trial.
Friday, the Magill Law Firm filed a motion asking a judge to reconsider his ruling, saying it's unfair to Scarber.
