They found the victim lying on the ground with at least one gunshot wound. Authorities say he was taken away in an ambulance but later died from his injuries. Merced Police are searching for suspects.
Officers say the victim is a 38 year old man, who was gunned down just before seven Saturday night. His name has not yet been released.
The shooting happened in the same neighborhood where two men were killed in May. Investigators say the two cases do not appear to be related.
