FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Authorities have arrested a father and son suspected in a strong-arm robbery at a Southeast Fresno Home Depot.

Fresno police say Hector Ortiz and his father, Rigoberto Ortiz, stole an $800 generator from the store on Kings Canyon Road near Winery Avenue in July. The suspects were later identified through surveillance video. The father can be seen riding a motorized scooter.

After leaving the Home Depot, investigators say the son confronted and threatened loss prevention agents who tried to stop the men from taking the property. So far, the generator has not been recovered.

On Friday, Hector Ortiz was booked on two counts of robbery and for warrants for resisting arrest. Rigoberto Ortiz was released from custody on a citation for his participation in the theft.
