Police: Motorcyclist dies after crashing into big rig near FYI

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Authorities are investigating a deadly accident involving a motorcycle and a big rig near Fresno Yosemite International Airport.

The accident happened before noon on Friday at Clinton and Fine avenues. Fresno police say the motorcycle was heading west on Clinton when it smashed head-on into the big rig. The big rig was trying to turn north onto Clinton when the accident took place.

The motorcycle rider died at the scene. His name has not been released. The big rig driver was not injured.

Investigators say the motorcycle's speed may have been a factor.

The truck driver was not cited.
