Fresno man hurt after attempting to stop car thief

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A Fresno man is recovering after he tried to stop a man from stealing his car but ended up being dragged by it instead.

It started at the Sierra Athletic Club on Blackstone Avenue near Shaw. Police say the victim was walking out of the gym when he saw a man driving off in his car. He then grabbed onto the car telling the suspect to stop.

But the suspect drove away with the victim still holding on.

The victim eventually let go and did not suffer any major injuries.

Police are now looking for the car and the suspect.
