Madera crash sends 5 people to hospital

MADERA, Calif. (KFSN) -- Madera police are investigating a car crash that sent five people to the hospital on Sunday.

The accident happened at the intersection of Cleveland and Austin avenues around 7:30 p.m. A truck ended up in the front yard of a home. Officers say another vehicle stopped at the stop sign, but then pulled out into the path of the truck.

The truck's driver and four passengers were taken to the hospital with minor to moderate injuries. No one in the other vehicle was hurt.

Investigators do not believe drugs or alcohol were involved.
