FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fresno police are searching for a hit-and-run driver who caused a rollover crash. The car flipped over on Belmont and Cedar avenues around 8 p.m. Sunday.

Investigators say a father and his young son were in the vehicle when they were hit by a driver who was pulling out of a nearby parking lot. Witnesses rushed to help the two victims get out of their car. They also got a detailed description of the suspect's truck, which is now believed to have front-end damage.

"The suspect's vehicle that hit this vehicle is a red Chevy Silverado, '94 or '95, extended cab, stock condition, and it was occupied by two subjects, possibly a Hispanic male driver," said provisional Sgt. Brandi Phebus with the Fresno Police Department.

Police are now searching for that driver.

But the driver of the car was also under investigation for a possible DUI. Officers put him through field sobriety tests at the scene.
