Man dies in tractor accident near Sanger

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A man has died after a farming accident in Fresno County.

The incident happened Thursday morning on a farm near Jensen and Del Rey. Fresno County sheriff's investigators say the man was driving a tractor, when it rolled into a canal while he was working. The man apparently tried to jump from the tractor, but was crushed.

Officials say the victim was in the middle of harvest, when the accident happened. They say his coworkers discovered him.

The sheriff's office has identified the man as 66-year-old Noel Palacios Silva.
