Man taken to hospital after being hit by car in Central Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A man is recovering after he was hit by a car in Central Fresno. It happened shortly after midnight on Blackstone near Garland.

Authorities said the victim was crossing the road when he was hit. The driver remained on scene and is cooperating with police.

The man was taken to the hospital where he is listed in critical condition.

Police said alcohol doesn't appear to be a factor in the crash
