FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A donation from University HOPE will help the Bulldog Pantry provide food for families in need for months to come.

On Friday, the pantry was presented with a check for $3,500.

The pantry is run by Fresno State student volunteers. Throughout the week, they package food to distribute to families on Saturday. Each distribution costs the Bulldog Pantry about $500, so the donation will help keep food coming in.

"$3,500 is seven distributions, which is you know almost two more months of operation," said Paul Clark with the Bulldog Pantry. "So, we're constantly in need of collecting donations, and collecting money, and thinking creatively about how to keep this organization going."

The Bulldog Pantry will not turn anyone away looking for food on a distribution day.
