Fresno Pink Show depicts journeys through cancer

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Art lovers and cancer survivors came together to celebrate hope at the annual Pink Show.

The show is a collaboration between Fresno-area artists who display photographs, paintings and sculpture depicting journeys through cancer.

Cynthia Manuszak organized the first Pink Show nine years ago with her neighbor Mary Lozano -- a breast cancer patient. Lozano passed away a few years ago, but Manuszak carries on with the Pink Show and her friend's very important message.

"I think there's a lot of hope in the Pink Show. Mary was such a positive person and she really wanted that message spread, which was hope," said Manuszak.

You can experience the Pink Show for yourself through Oct. 31 at the Brush and Easel Gallery, which is located at 1476 W. Shaw Ave. in Northwest Fresno.
