FRESNO, Calif. -- An alleged gang member has been arrested after police saw him with a gun at fundraising event.
Police say they spotted 25-year-old Alfredric Anderson helping at a car wash for a homicide victim in downtown Fresno. They say that as he bent over, the gun fell out of his basketball shorts.
Anderson made eye contact with officers and ran, leaving the gun, police say. He was later stopped in car nearby and arrested without incident.
The weapon was recovered and police say it was a fully loaded stolen gun.
