Amanda Aguilar
Prior to joining the ABC30 Action News team, Amanda was a reporter/anchor in Savannah, Georgia. During her time in The Hostess City, she helped bring awareness to the anti-Asian attacks happening nationwide. The City of Savannah created its first Asian American and Pacific Islander Task Force following Amanda's coverage. She also led coverage of the death of Ahmaud Arbery, which she and her team won an Emmy for in 2021.
Before Georgia, Amanda spent almost three years in Wichita, Kansas, where she covered wildfires, tornadoes and blizzards.
Amanda received her bachelor's degree from the Dominican University of California in San Rafael and her master's degree from American University in Washington, D.C.
While Amanda has lived all over the country, she was raised in the Bay Area and is so excited to be back on the west coast.
When Amanda isn't working, she's probably napping, eating or watching Netflix.
