FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A Fresno firefighter is recovering after being injured while battling a fire at a townhome early Tuesday morning.

The flames broke out in the two-story home on Butler and Winery avenues in Southeast Fresno just after 1 a.m. The fire department says the roof collapsed on top of a firefighter. He was rushed to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment. Fire officials say he suffered a neck injury but will be released on Tuesday.

The fire caused about $200,000 in damage and removed two people from their home. Electrical wiring issues in the home are being blamed for sparking the flames.
