Man in critical condition after shooting at Fresno gun range
Authorities are trying to determine if a shooting at a Northwest Fresno gun range Monday afternoon was an accident or a suicide attempt.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Authorities are trying to determine if a shooting at a Northwest Fresno gun range Monday afternoon was an accident or a suicide attempt. Fresno police say the man shot himself during target practice at The Range Pistol Club located on Gates and Jacquelyn avenues.

Emergency responders found the 52-year-old suffering from a single gunshot wound on the left side of his neck, below the ear. Crews rushed him to the hospital where he was last listed in critical condition.

Police are still trying to determine exactly how the shooting happened.
