Girl, 6, wounded in shooting near Porterville

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A 6-year-old girl is recovering after being shot near Porterville Saturday night.

Tulare County sheriff's deputies were called to the Eagle's Nest RV and Mobile Home Park off Highway 190 around 11 p.m. after reports of gunfire. When they arrived on the scene, deputies found the girl had been wounded in the leg. She was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Authorities say they determined someone drove by in a white sedan and started shooting. Detectives are still searching for suspects.
