Man shot several times in Central Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fresno police are searching for the suspect in a shooting. It happened Saturday night at Dakota and Pleasant avenues in Central Fresno.

Officers say someone was chasing a man in his 40s with a gun. The victim made it to the door of a home and tried knocking to get help, but that's when the suspect shot the man multiple times at close range. He was taken to Community Regional Medical Center in serious condition.

Detectives are investigating if the shooting was drug- or gang-related.
