Several arrested on drug related charges in Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. -- It was a busy night for Fresno Police as they arrested several people on drug related charges.

Officers say they pulled over Renny Saldivar Thursday night near Ashlan and Blackstone in Central Fresno. Officers say they found marijuana, meth, a loaded gun, and $900 in cash inside his car. Salvidar now faces several charges. Officers say Saldivar was involved in a police chase with Fresno police just last week.

Another suspect in Fresno faces charges this morning for a similar situation. Fresno police say George Tijerina was pulled over for expired tags Thursday night. They say he also had a suspended license. After searching his car, officers found 140 grams of meth along with scales, baggies, and over $3,300 in cash. He now faces numerous felony charges.
