FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Two men are being treated after they were shot at a Southwest Fresno market.

The shooting happened after 8 a.m. Tuesday at the Jensen Walnut Market.

Fresno Police responded to the market after receiving reports that two people had been shot. However, when police arrived, both victims had left the scene. One of the men showed up at Community Regional Medical Center. The other went to a home.

Police say the men are cousins, but the motive for the shooting is unclear because there are conflicting stories about the gunman.

"We do have a witness here that says the shooter was an older African American male wearing pajama bottoms and a hoodie, and after the shooting he headed into the neighborhood here," said Lt. Joe Gomez, Fresno Police Department.

Investigators say another witness says the men shot at each other. Neither man is cooperating with police, and investigators say someone at the scene picked up the bullet casings.

Its unclear if the shooting is gang related.
